a Band a Week

Music. I love it. Here I will post about the best and worst things on the radar.

Hello, its "Famous Rob" from the Ad-Pit here...

So many people I know complain that they never bother to check out new or interesting music. This blog is designed to provide with one new track/album/video a week to view and increase your musical boundaries.

This is specifically aimed at Northern Planner, who has made a target of hearing one new band a week on his Lets See What Happens Pledges.

This weeks band is:

The Klaxons

Sounding like Indie Disco raised on acid house parties. Odd but completely brilliant. What do you think to this week's band?

Very, very good. So good that I was disappointed to find there's no album yet.
Good start.
I'm quite liking this, people will wonder where I'm 'discovering' all this new music.
At 32 I may finally turn out cool.

Have to say I'm not sure about Klaxons. Not really my bag.

Similar stuff worth checking out if you like them would be Larrikin Love, Young Knives or The Sunshine Underground who happen to hail from the fine city of Leeds.

Interested to see what else you recommend.

Young Knives are pretty good.
Im not sticking to any genre's in this blog, it could go from anything to anything. Avant garde jazz one week to death metal the next...
